57 The Teacher  1-2 (187) 2022 Exams              ① Listening: the candidate would be provided with four different recordings. There would be four parts with ten questions for each, and the time is 30 minutes. The four parts are multiplechoice, matching, plan, map & diagram labelling, and form, note, table, flow chart, & summary completion. ② Speaking: in speaking, the candidates would be asked to speak on different topics and would be recorded. In the first phase, the examiner would ask basic questions to the candidates. In the second phase, the candidate would be asked to speak on a particular topic. In the third phase, questions would be asked on the particular topic. The total time is around 11-14 minutes. ③ Writing: for the academic section, the candidate needs to analyze, explain a graph, table, chart, or diagram. They would have to write an essay on it. For the general training section, the candidate has to write a letter on a situation provided and write an essay in response to the point of view of the topic. The time duration for both is 60 minutes. ④ Reading: for the academic section, the candidates have to read long texts from journals, books, newspapers and answer 40 questions in 60 minutes. For the general training section, the candidates have to read long extracts from books, newspapers, journals, advertisements, or notices and answer 40 questions in 60 minutes. The questions are divided into multiple choice, identifying information, identifying writer’s claims/ reviews, and matching information. So, what is a good score in IELTS?
